Wanted to thank you for taking my father and I out on one of the best days of fishing we have ever had. My dad still talks about how good of a time he had every time we talk. We appreciate everything you taught us both, from new casting techniques to the geology lessons about the area to a new respect of conservation and respect for the environment.
We are already discussing coming back next year and who will have the most fun. We will have to schedule it around the moon, in hopes of hooking up more!

Choose from walk/wade trips, float trips, horseback wilderness trips, walk-in pack trips, float tube trips, combination hunting / fishing trips or custom designed itineraries. Every trip is tailored to suit the needs, expectations and experience levels of each angler in the party.
North Fork Anglers' guides provide fly fishing instruction and assistance with casting techniques, fly presentation, streamside entomology, catch and release ethics and more.
Most importantly, your guide will put you over trout - every day - so you can catch trout while learning new skills on the water. A bent rod, or line peeling off a spool, is a great reward for doing everything right.
Your guide will be there to assist in the landing and release for a quick photo. North Fork Anglers specializes in taking neophyte anglers to the rivers and streams in the area and welcome them into this tightly bound fly fishing 'family' of specialized anglers.
North Fork Anglers has been guiding fly fisher men and women in the Greater Yellowstone/Cody Wyoming region since 1984. During the past 20+ years, we have made lots of friends and have fine-tuned our guide skills to assist every angler's skill level. North Fork Anglers is also an Orvis Endorsed Outfitter, which assures you of our responsibility to give you the trip of a life time, no matter how big or small the 'trophy'. Experience the beauty and excitement of fishing in the Cody Wyoming area.
Meet the Guides
Tim Wade has been fly fishing since an early age. He has vast experience with salt water, fresh water (bass and trout) and salmon/steelhead angling. Tim founded North Fork Anglers in 1984. Since then, Tim has been fortunate to have some of the best fly fishing guides in the business working for him. Tim and all of North Fork Anglers’ guides love to fly fish, love to make their guests better anglers and love the wild trout resource in Wyoming and elsewhere. Tim is featured weekly in Trout TV and has developed many great trout and saltwater fly patterns. He specializes in instruction, casting and learning the water infinitely well.
Guy Highland grew up in Denver, Colorado where he spent his youth gaining “unauthorized access” to secret honey holes for monster bluegills. His obsession eventually led him to pursue trout with a fly. When he moved to Cody in 1995 he was like a kid in a candy store. His constant loitering at North Fork Anglers finally garnered him a job as a guide in 1997. While he got into guiding because he loves fishing, he remains in it for the people he has met over the years.
Guy has many long term repeat clients that he considers some of his dearest friends. Many of them have gone from kindergarten to the grad school of fly fishing under his expert tutelage. Guy knows that a sense of humor goes a long way when on the river. His guiding style requires that a client appreciate the aesthetics and drama of fly fishing. One can’t help but be a better angler after a day on the water with Guy. Adventure awaits down the road less traveled.
Andy Fisher has been a full time guide for North Fork Anglers since 1999, with well over several thousand great trips and counting! He’s been privileged to have competed on ESPN’s Great Outdoor Games several times, finishing as a Silver Medalist and representing North Fork Anglers well in the Games. Andy loves to explore and walk/wade the 'secret' places in the Cody/Yellowstone area where the trout are eager to take flies and where the roads are less traveled. Andy also does great bird taxidermy when not guiding.
Lance Arnold hails from West Michigan and came to us in the spring of 2009 to guide for us. When his feet are not in the water guiding, his face is probably in a medical textbook, studying to complete a nursing degree at Northwest College.
Mark Sanford, born in Montana and raised in Wyoming, has loved the outdoors all his life. Mark teaches high school during the school year and guides in the summers. He guided in southern Wyoming for 5 years and has been guiding for North Fork Anglers since 2002. Mark believes that fly fishing should be fun, having spent many days on the water with family and clients. He knows that enjoying a day on the water with good people makes for a great day.
Blair Van Antwerp has been guiding for North Fork Anglers since 2006 and worked in our fly shop before that. Blair believes there’s nothing better than the fantastic fishing around Cody and its unspoiled surroundings. “I am truly lucky to make a living doing what I love. Let’s go fishing!”
Mike Reinker has lived in Cody for nearly 35 years, and has been chasing trout for nearly that long. Growing up, Mike could usually be found fishing the North Fork of the Shoshone, and wet up to his armpits. He’s now a 4th grade teacher in the neighboring community of Meeteetse, Wyoming. On a day off, he is still out chasing trout with a fly rod. “I have had the pleasure of guiding for North Fork Anglers for 6 years. Although the North Fork will always have a special place in my heart, I also love fishing and guiding on the Bighorn River near Thermopolis, the Clark’s Fork, and any of the countless rivers, lakes, and tributaries in Northwest Wyoming.”
Zachary “Zac” Holmes grew up in the Inland Northwest. He has spent the last twelve years avidly fly fishing the backcountry and the miles and miles of trout waters in the Cody area. Zac loves to teach and assist beginning fly fishers whether on a float or walk/wade trip. He’s been guiding for North Fork Anglers since 2009.
Jim Bigelow’s fly fishing experience started at the age of 3 when he landed his first and only chicken! (Details available upon request) His guiding career began in 1998, in SW Wyoming on the Green, Ham’s Fork and Smith’s Fork Rivers and other waters in western Wyoming. Jim has been guiding at North Fork Anglers since 2004 and specializes in Walk/Wade Trips. He always has his camera ready to capture those life altering moments for his clients. “Come on out and fish where the trout don’t live in ugly places!”
