Lower Shoshone Tail water

April 17, 2018 11:28 am

The flows are high on the lower Shoshone and they’re only going to get higher.  We haven’t seen many fish coming to the surface for bugs but the nymphing and streamer action has been consistent.  Fish the edges of the river and deeper pools for the best luck.  The best fishing times have been noon until dark.

CFS: 2484

Flies: Firebead sowbug, Purple and Peacock Prince, Black North Fork Specials, San Juan Worms, Midge pupa, Pheasant Tails, Bloody Mary’s, Jigged Soft Hackles,  Rubber legged streamers and leech patterns.
