Lower Shoshone Tailwater

February 11, 2019 9:00 am

The lower Shoshone is fishing very well right now.  Midges are on the water from 11 am to 3 pm most days for the dry fly enthusiast.  Nymphing has been the most effective way to catch fish and will probably stay that way for most of the winter.

Streamer action has been hit-or-miss but very good when the fish are on!

CFS: 415

Flies: Firebead sowbug, Purple and Peacock Prince, San Juan Worms, Midge pupa, Pheasant Tails, Bloody Mary’s, Jigged Soft Hackles, Analids,  Zebra Midge, Tan North Fork Specials, Winter Stones, Rubber legged streamers and leech patterns.
