Both the Bighorn and Wind River Canyon are fishing well right now.  Water temps are warming up and the fish are becoming more active. Look for BWO’s and Midges on the surface or deep nymph with scuds, worms, midge pupa, p-tails, and sow bugs.  Rainbows and cutthroats are getting ready to spawn and are migrating up river.  Please be careful of spawning beds while wading. South Fork

The South Fork of the Shoshone is a smaller version of the North Fork of the Shoshone. With the flows down you might have to do some sneaking to make that good cast. Spring is finally here!  The South Fork has been fishing well up in the Valley School section.  Nymphing has been the most productive method for catching fish using small bead head nymphs like the North Fork Special, Copper John, or Hares ear.  We’ve also been catching fish on dries midday.  Smaller parachute Adams and BWO imitations have worked well.
