Lower Shoshone Tailwater

March 25, 2019 9:00 am

The Bureau of Rec increased the flows on the Lower Shoshone last week which injected a lot of moss into the system and put the fish down for a few days.  As of today the moss has dissipated and the fish are happy once again.  The midges have been hatching all day and the BWO’s have been coming on strong around 12:30 and lasting until 4:00 or so.  In between the hatches nymphing has been effective with BWO imitations and softhackles.  The streamer action has also been really good as long as the moss isn’t and issue.
