Lamar, Slough, Soda Butte, and Pebble

June 15, 2019 9:00 am

Slough Creek is high but fishable, especially in the upper meadows, while Soda Butte Creek has been running high and off color. The Lamar River is high and definitely tough to fish right now. Cutthroat are spawning in the Lamar, Slough and Soda Butte. Don’t fish the redds!!  Caddis and blue wing olives and golden stoneflies are flying around. Water quality has deteriorated due to snowmelt this past week. After July 1, this part of Yellowstone Park should really begin to turn on in regard to fishing.
