The Bighorn flows have been dropping now that runoff has slowed down above Boysen Dam. Nymph fishing is the name of the game with some hopper and caddis action later in the day.

Flies: Nymphs are still the most productive way to catch trout. San Juan Worms, Yum Yum, Small Pheasant Tails, Scuds, Sow Bugs, Yuk Bugs, Pats Rubber Legs, Jig-head nymphs. Midge pupa, wire worm, and streamer patterns. Leeches, wooly buggers and cone-head zonkers, muddlers or your favorite streamers are also taking trout from boats particularly.
Hatches are blue wing olives, midges and caddis.
Dries – sparkle duns, compara-duns, bwo emergers, RS2’s, Griffith’s Gnats, Rojo midge, small black elk hair caddis, parachute Adams and parachute olive bwo’s.
