Water temps are in the 30’s and low 40’s depending on location. Ice has limited the fishing inside Shoshone National Forest. Ice is also prevalent in the Wapiti Valley sections and downstream toward Buffalo Bill Reservoir. Wading carefully is advised.
While hatches are scarce now, midges and some bwo’s are around. Don’t expect a lot of trout action. Whitefish are taking nymphs readily in the open water sections.
