Dead Indian Creek is coming down. Flows are still quick in places. Water quality is clear in the mornings, some cloudiness in the afternoons due to continued snowmelt with temps in the high 80’s. Avoid the canyon area for the time being because getting around will be dangerous.
Size 10 and 12 beadhead North Fork Specials, Prince nymphs and smaller Pat’s rubber leg nymphs advised. Some golden stones and caddis flying around. Stream cover is tight. Fishing dries can be fun but don’t surprised if you snag on a backcast or forward cast.
Bear spray is essential when fishing this creek. Carry a loud whistle, too!!
