Dead Indian Creek is fishing okay through the campground. In the upper canyon, royal trudes, royal Wulffs, elk hair caddis and parachute Adams work well for searching patterns. Hoppers are also beginning to dominate. Water quality is low but good.
Size 10-16 beadhead North Fork Specials, Prince nymphs and smaller Pat’s rubber leg nymphs advised. Stream cover is tight. Fish hoppers, but don’t surprised if you snag on a backcast or forward cast.
Bear spray is essential when fishing this creek. Carry a loud whistle, too!!
