Yellowstone Park fisheries will be closed the 2nd of November
Flows are 264 cfs now – up a bit from the previous report due to rain and some snowmelt – where the river hits the Yellowstone below the Roosevelt Bridge. The same low flows are true for Slough, Pebble and Soda Butte Creek. Water temps are also cold in the morning and warmer once the sun hits its zenith midday.
Water quality is fair to good.
Hatches are dwindling – caddis, some BWO’s and midges
Slough Creek campground is closed. Lots of vehicles are parked at the upper Slough Creek Meadows Trail head. Be prepared to see lots of other anglers now that Prime Time is here!!
Pack bear spray for security. Bears are very active now in the Lamar Valley and its tributaries.
