The lower river is fishable. Flows low (diverted for irrigation canals). Fishing is slow to fair. Evening fly fishing is better. BWO’s, midges and bwo spinners are on the water. Some fall caddis fly around. Hoppers are there, but this season is about over. Fish the canyon inside Shoshone National Forest Wild and Scenic Area.
Grizzlies have been spotted down low. Pack bear spray.
Streamers, or going deep with weighted nymphs recommended.
