Dead Indian Creek

June 23, 2021 9:00 am

The creek is cloudy after the heat increased again. Flows are not any higher though. The canyon is still swift. Fishing is better in the campround area and upstream from there.

Medium to small beadhead North Fork Specials, Prince nymphs and smaller Bead Head Pheasant tails always work. There are some size 8-6 golden stones and small caddis flying around. Dry/dropper rigs would be best.

Bears are active. If hiking around or fishing, pack bear spray!!

pheasantnymphs advised. Stream cover is tight.

Bear spray is essential when fishing this creek. Carry a loud whistle, too!!
