The lower Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone River is dropping daily and has now cleared enough to fish.

Salmonflies, golden stones and caddis are now active. Yay! Dries – Larger (size 4-10) stimulators, Ho Candy, Horrors, hopper patterns. Elk hair caddis and parachute Adams (size 10-14) .

Nymphs: bead head Prince, pheasant tails, gold-ribbed hare’s ears, Pat’s stones, Spanish bullets in black, pearl or purple and North Fork Specials size 6 and smaller.

Streamers, or going deep with weighted nymphs recommended.
