Upper and Lower Sunshine Reservoirs

June 23, 2021 9:00 am

Buggers, scuds and small midges are your best bet for now. Both lakes are fishing okay. Due to angling pressure, the upper lake has smaller cutthroat trout to be caught. The lower reservoir has larger trout – cutthroat, splake and tiger trout.

Calibaetis mayflies and damsel activity is occurring now that the waters are warming up. Wet flies, bead head nymphs and small leech patterns working best. Some dry action using Parachute Adams and adult damsel flies.
