Canyon Section of the Clarks Fork
February 27, 2023 9:00 amThe Wild and Scenic Section of the Clarks Fork is not accessible from the Crandall or Sunlight areas due to deep snow and icy conditions. Wait until the end of June or even early July when the river in the canyon section has calmed down from spring runoff. If you are eager to fish the lower canyon, access is at the end of Highway 292 by foot or horseback. The road into the canyon was closed after the June 22 floods erased the 4×4 track into the canyon.
Should you want an immediate update on flows, water quality, hatches, fly suggestions, we advise you to call, not email, North Fork Anglers at 307-527-7274 for that. We also suggest and recommend that you do the same for the 2022 Guided Trip season to reserve dates and guides. We are already getting bookings for late spring and summer trips in 2022. If you have your dates picked out, we urge you to get a deposit made as soon as possible so you don’t miss the chance to float or walk/wade Cody/Bighorn area rivers and streams.
