Lower Shoshone Tailwater
April 24, 2024
CFS: 1414
FLIES: Firebead sow bug, North fork Specials, Purple Prince, Jigged Prince, Walt’s Worm, Lucent prince, Prince, San Juan worm, Bloody Mary, Pheasant Tail, Midge pupa, Jigged Meathead, Mothers Day Caddis, Drag Queen, Sculpzilla, Mini Dungeon, Slump Buster, Thin Mint.
CONDITIONS: The flows have gone up again but the Low Sho is still fishable. I did notice the canal by my house is much bigger today and is substantially dirtier. Eventually that will make to the river and muddy it up. We have some time before that happens though. I would be fishing nymph rigs and pitching streamers toward the bank. We should also start seeing some surface action on caddis soon. -
