CONDITIONS: The Low sho is still at its winter flow level. Nymphing and streamer fishing has been great and we’re starting to see a significant hatch of BWO’s in the afternoon.Be careful while floating the river due to its extremely low flows.

Bighorn \ Wind River

FLIES: poxyback sow, yum-yum sow, Herford’s magic, Various worm patterns and colors, thin mints, Midges, BWO’s, Firebead sow, purple and pink lucent perdigon’s, black Spanish bullet, Ice cream cones, Sculpzilla, Rusty Tombone, Montana Mouthwash.
CONDITIONS: The flows on the Bighorn are at there winter level and fish are congregated in the slower and deeper runs. Steamer fishing and nymphing has been producing the bulk of the trout. Try fishing worm's, sow's, perdigon's, scuds, and midges fished under an indicator.Look for a heads up on BWO’s and midges.

North Fork Shoshone River

CFS: 463FLIES: North Fork Specials, Rubber legs Drag queens Pheasant Tail Optic Nerve, Trout Pupa, Orange Lucent Prince, SJ worms, Trout PupaHalfbacks, Lucent Tag Perdigons, Chubby cousins, and streamers.
CONDITIONS: There are a good amount of fish in the system right now. Some are even being caught in the National Forest. Nymphing with stonefly imitations and jigged attractors will be your best bet.
With the unseasonably warm weather the river is currently off color. Your best bet is to fish it in the mornings or go upstream until you find clear water.

South Fork of the Shoshone

FLIES: North Fork Specials, Meat heads, Bloody Mary’s, Chubby cousins, Optic Nerves, Jigged prince, Lucent Prince, Walts Worm, golden stone nymphs, BWO’s and Streamers.
CONDITIONS: The South Fork is starting to muddy up due to snow melt from the unusually warm weather. I would either fish in the morning or head upstream until you find clear(ish) water.
We’re also getting some reports of top water fishing with midges, BWO’s, and skwalla’s on the warmer days.
