    CONDITIONS: The Low Sho is a little mossy but is fishing well. Nymph rigs and streamers are producing the most trout with a few takes on hoppers. Be careful while wading because the water is still high.

    CONDITIONS: The Bighorn is fishing well right now but the grass is an issue. Look for heads up on trico’s and pmd’s early in the morning. Worm's, sow's, perdigon's, Zirdles, Yuk Bugs, scuds, and midges fished under a hopper the rest of the day. FYI, the fish have moved from the deeper runs into the shallow riffles because of the warm water conditions.

    CONDITIONS: The entire North Fork is open for fishing. Hopper dropper rigs are the way to go right now with stonefly nymphs and jigged attractors. In the evening we’re seeing some action on top with caddis and pmd’s. Stop by the shop for the go to flies and advice as conditions change.

    CONDITIONS: The South Fork is fishing great right now. Dry dropper rigs have been the most productive tactic with attractor dries and various jig attractors beneath. Look for golden stones, grey drakes, pmd’s, yellow sallies, and caddis.

    CONDITIONS: I wouldn’t expect large numbers of fish but there is the chance of catching some big ones. Dry dropper rigs have been the most productive method for catching fish with stonefly nymphs and various jigged attractors.

    CONDITIONS: The East and West lake’s are starting to warm up. I would avoid fishing them during the middle of the day and focus more on the mornings and evenings. Fish are taking small damsel nymphs and dries, suspended chironomids and balanced leeches, and slow stripped scuds and callibaetis nymphs and dries.

    CONDITIONS: The Lamar river and tributaries are fishing very well. Hopper dropper rigs have been the ticket but look for golden stones, drakes, caddis, pmd’s, and yellow sallies to all be hatching.

    CONDITIONS: Open and fishing well. Some of the fish have moved off shore and you’ll see the best action in the mornings and evenings if you don’t have a boat.

    Yellowstone River

    CFS: (Lake outlet) 2140

    FLIES: North Fork Specials, Pat’s rubber legs, 20 inchers, Halfbacks, Prince nymphs, Salmon Fly’s, Golden Stones, Caddis, and PMD’s.

    CONDITION: The Yellowstone is in great shape at the moment. We should see the fish taking caddis, drakes, and PMD’s. Pack your bear spray and be on the lookout for large animals.
